The 2020 ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup was organised in South Africa. It was the first project Quidich implemented with the ICC and we offered our CopterQam + Spatio services for the play-off games in Potchefstroom.
ICC has been looking at ways of making the broadcast more interactive for viewers across the world. One such initiative was the Augmented Reality we were able to offer on the drone. It was the first time ICC had such a technology on the drone during a World Cup broadcast. Since there were limited cameras for this event, we worked with the director to develop a number of shots that could be offered. So much so that the CopterQam became the go-to camera for the director for a number of the graphic overlays.
